The contact owns a 1995 Ford F250. The vehicle has fts westlake CR861 tires. The contact stated that his dot number is included in the recall regarding tread separation. He called fts and they refused to provide assistance. They stated that the boss was on vacation and would not be able to help until he returned. The contact believes that the tires should be repaired as soon as possible. There had been no failure to date. The recall number was unknown. The current mileage was 115,000.
PE00 020; consumer was traveling about 55mph on highway heard a noise, and felt bumping of vehicle. He was able to pull over to shoulder when tread came off tire, causing leakeage of fluid. Firestone, steeltex, LT235/85 R16 dealership wasaware of problem.
While driving about 60-65 mph tread on rear driver's Goodyear Wrangler ht tire came off. Driver was able to control a 1995, Ford, F250. Tire size lt 23585R16. Tire mileage about 20,000, original tire equipment.
