The contact owns a 1995 Ford F-250. The contact stated the vehicle had a dual fuel tank, one in the front and one in the rear. While driving, the front fuel tank began to leak. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who diagnosed the failure and stated the check valve inside the fuel tank caused the failure. The dealer stated that in order to perform a diagnostic test the contact had to pay a fee and offered no other assistance. The manufacturer was notified who stated the vehicle was not covered by a warranty and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 168,000. The current mileage was 170,000.
