1995 Ford F250. Consumer writes in regards to problems with leaking gas line, brakes, transmission and several other issues with vehicle. Consumer states unsatisfactory customer service from several dealerships. The master cylinder, air pump, brake pads, serpentine belt, brake lines, alternator, cruise control sensor, battery, headlight control and upper switch were all replaced. Also, the starter solenoid switch was replaced, as well as the oil pan, that was rusted. The tires were replaced, due to cracking.
Engine compartment fire on a parked 1995 Ford F-250. The fire spread rapidly throughout the engine compartment, and caused a car parked next to the truck to catch fire. The vehicle is totaled. The fire investigator for mount prospect, il, indicated that it was likely an internal electrical fault.
The contact owns a 1995 Ford F250. The contact stated he was awakened by the horn of his vehicle independently sounding. The contact then observed flames shooting from the driver's side of the engine compartment. The engine was destroyed and the left side of the engine, including the metal, had melted. The insurance company was contacted. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure and current mileages were approximately 133,000.
