Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2C44:00 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software in the PCM and the auxiliary battery isolator. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM and replace the auxiliary battery isolator.
