2022 Ford F-150 Lightning
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- Some 2022-2023 F-150 PowerBoost vehicles may exhibit a condition where the Midtronics DCA8000P battery tester is unable to test the auxiliary battery. Engineering is aware of this condition and updated software will be loaded in the DCA8000P battery tester in September of 2023 allowing the tester to test the auxiliary battery and generate a battery approval code and diagnostic trouble code (DTC). Follow Workshop Manual (WSM) section 414-01 Battery Diagnosis and Testing to verify battery condition. If the auxiliary battery needs to be replaced a repair validation code (RVC) is not required at this time and should be replaced following the Warranty and Policy Manual standard claiming procedures. Monitor OASIS for additional updates.
