2022 Ford F-150 Lightning
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- Some 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U3012, P062F, and/or P0A7F in the battery energy control module (BECM) and/or P0887 in the secondary on-board diagnostic control module-B (SOBDMB) or secondary on-board control module-C (SOBDMC). This may be due to a loose 12 volt positive or negative battery cable connection or loose ground connection. Prior to performing Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics, inspect both ends of the positive and negative battery cable connections and tighten if loose. Inspect connector C1168B and ground G127 for loose connections and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). Refer to the Wiring Diagram for connector and ground locations. Perform the High Voltage Battery Capacity Relearn application using Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) to clear P0A7F.
