2022 Ford F-150 Lightning
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:COIL
- Summary
- Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit engine misfire concerns with or without DTCs. If diagnostics lead to ignition coil replacement, swap the ignition coil(s) between the misfired cylinder and a known good cylinder. Only replace the ignition coil if the misfire concern follows that particular ignition coil. If the misfire condition does not follow the coil, apply dielectric grease to the boot, reinstall the ignition coil in the original cylinder and continue normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-07C.
