The vehicle did not receive the upgrade. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer had referred the contact to file a safety complaint. The failure mileage was 15,100.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with an OEM jack. The contact stated that while her husband was replacing the passenger's side rear tire and using the jack for the first time, the jack bent, causing the vehicle to collapse onto the rotors. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was inspected, and the dealer informed the contact that there was no damage to the vehicle. The jack was replaced.
