The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the message trailer brake module fault was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the turn signals were blinking quickly. The dealer had been contacted to schedule an appointment, but the vehicle had not been taken to the dealer. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The contact found information regarding SSM: 52279/NHTSA ID Number: 10250833 (Trailer Hitches, Unknown or Other). The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in a recall or in the SSM. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a safety complaint. The failure mileage was 4,000.
