TSB Document:
Affected Component: PARKING BRAKE
- Summary
- Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with light duty electric park brake calipers (minor feature code FAJAK) may exhibit a squeal noise from the rear brakes after sitting for 8 hours or more. To confirm a vehicle is built with minor feature code FAJAK, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number in the upper left-hand corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). To correct this condition, replace rear brake disc (ML14-2A315-BC) and rear brake pads, caliper pin bolts, brake pad clips, and retraction springs (ML3Z-2200-E) on both sides of the vehicle. Refer to Workshop Manual Section 206-04 Rear Disc Brake. For claiming, use causal part number 2552 and applicable labor times from Section 02 of the Service Labor Times Standard Manual. NOTE: Using incorrect service parts on the braking system could impair brake performance.
