Ford TSB #SSM 50737
2022 Ford F-150
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 2.7L EcoBoost engine may experience a Check Charging System message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). The following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) may also be stored in the powertrain control module (PCM): U012D, U042E, U0284, U0285, and/or U0645. This may be due to local interconnect network (LIN) circuit VE181 (WH-GN), near connector C102A, being shorted to ground near the left engine mount bracket. If this wire is found to be shorted, repair as need per Wiring Diagram, Cell 005 and secure the harness assembly away from the engine mount bracket to prevent a recurrence.
