Ford TSB #SSM 50671
2021 Ford F-150
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL
- Summary
- Some 2021 F-150 vehicles may experience an Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) programming failure during Programmable Module Installation (PMI) and/or Software Update with the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) which states either The Module Configuration Has Failed, Would You Like To Retry? or Procedure Unsuccessful - RestoreDE0x_Range Exception Writing Configuration To Module. This may be due to the gateway module (GWM), accessory protocol interface module (APIM) and/or telematics control unit (TCU) not being at the correct software level to support an IPC software update. Perform all available software updates for the GWM, APIM and/or TCU. When these software updates are complete, continue with PMI and/or software update of the IPC.
