Ford TSB #SSM 50276
2021 Ford F-150
TSB Document:
Affected Component: UNKNOWN OR OTHER
- Summary
- Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E/F-150 vehicles may exhibit a Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with missing active guide lines in the reverse camera display. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0415:86 may also be present in the IPMA. This may be due to a network interruption during module programming and/or when a module was disconnected which can cause the steering center find to be reset and various features to become disabled. The steering center find can be relearned by driving the vehicle for approximately 5 minutes, above 18 mph (30 km/h) and with no steering wheel input for a few seconds. When steering center is found, the Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable message should clear. If the active guide lines are missing, perform the IPMA camera alignment using Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS).
