2021 Ford F-150
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- Some 2021 F-150 vehicles equipped with a base instrument panel cluster (IPC), 4-inch display may experience the transmission temperature gauge reading inaccurately or low after the vehicle has been at operating temperature for quite some time. This may be due to various software parameters in the IPC. Ford is working on an update that is expected via over the air (OTA) in late February of 2022. The software will update automatically if Vehicle Connectivity is turned ON. Inform the customer that powertrain durability is not affected and they can continue to drive the vehicle. Contact the customer in March of 2022 to determine if they received the update. If the customer needs assistance, schedule a follow-up appointment. Monitor OASIS for updates.
