Ford TSB #SSM 49960
2021 Ford F-150
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
- Summary
- Some 2021 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 2.7L EcoBoost engine may experience a lack/loss of power with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0299 in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to a wastegate control actuator question mark upper linkage lever becoming separated from the wastegate control actuator due to a missing jamb nut. Replacement wastegate control actuator kits are available for service and turbocharger assembly replacement is not necessary (RH actuator kit is ML3Z-9G488-J, LH actuator kit is ML3Z-9G488-E). Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-04G.
