I'm driving down the road and pull into a gas station and my truck stalls and the dash says to put in park and start. The truck wouldn't start until I held down the acceleration to the floor then would barely run but no warning lights. I only lived up up the road a couple of miles so I drove it home, though the RPMs wouldn't get over 1,000. I got it home shut it off and a couple of hours later it started running perfect, then a few days later it stalled on me again and the same message was on the dash. I put it in park and start, and it started up, but this time it started right up and ran perfect but the check engine light was on.
So the next morning the check engine was out and it ran perfect. I took it to Ford to have it looked at and they would not give me a loaner, they said Ford does not give out loaners until they find out what the problem was, so I had to rent a car for a week which costed me $500 dollars out of my own pocket. After keeping it a week they said they still couldn't find anything wrong with it. This not being able to rent a car every week until they could find out what was wrong with it, I left with the truck which was running perfect and traded it for a Nissan Titan.
