The tire was replaced, but the contact had since observed the failure occurring in the remaining tires. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000. The contact stated that upon inspection it was discovered that the sidewall was cracked and separated. The vehicle was taken to crest Ford flat rock located at 22675 gibraltar rd, flat rock, mi 48134 who replaced the tires. The cause of the failure was not determined. The contact indicated that the set of tires had been replaced on multiple occasions for the same failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.

The contact was informed by the news of a national recall for cooper tires and contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed that the tires were on the recall list. The contact contacted tire kingdom (1485 E mitchell hammock rd, oviedo, fl 32765) who informed the contact that he would need to pay the difference for new cooper tires of a different tire line. The contact stated that he should not have to pay for the new tires since the recall stated that the dealer would replace the affected tires, free of charge. The manufacturer informed the contact to contact NHTSA since they had no authority over the dealer. The contact had not experienced a failure. The VIN was not available.
