Ford TSB #SSM 47876
2019 Ford F-150
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ENGINE (PWS)
- Summary
- Some 2018-2019 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine may exhibit a chirping type noise from the upper right side of the engine at a warm or hot idle. This noise may sound similar to a front engine accessory drive (FEAD) chirp noise. If the noise persists with the FEAD belt removed and is isolated to the front cover area, this noise may be due to the primary timing chain tensioner. This noise will not result in any engine durability concerns. Do not attempt any repairs at this time. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.
