Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with BLIS that have had the pickup box removed for upfitter modification may exhibit a BLIS warning message in the message center with no associated DTCs. Using the appropriate Ford scan tool at the latest level, re-configure the BLIS system to correct this concern. These settings can be found under toolbox > module programming > programmable parameters > warning lamps and chimes and must be adjusted in multiple modules. Details can be found on the truck body builder advisory service (BBAS) website, found by clicking the link at the bottom of the webpage at https://www.fleet.ford.com. Once at the BBAS website, click on bulletins, and refer to published qualified vehicle modifier (QVM) bulletin for BLIS warning programming. Changes the BLIS configuration as a result of upfitter modifications are non-warrantable.
