On Thursday August 27, 2019 (around 9am) I depressed the remote to open my 2019 F150, the truck emitted a strange beep and the lights did not flash. I placed the key into the ignition and it would not start, none of the dash lights would come on. After a couple more start attempts it started but there were no dash lights, the radio/navigation would not turn on, none of the power options worked, the power steering did not work, no headlamps, etc. Nothing electrical worked, the whole system was inoperative.
I left it running and shortly there after the check engine light came on. My Ford Pass account stated 11 failures:
1) Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power (system as detected a powertrain or a four-wheel drive fault) 2) Powertrain Control Module (PCM) lost communication with the Drivers Door Control Module for a period of time. 3) PCM lost communication with the Power Steering Control Module for a period of time. 4) PCM has detected that the Fuel Level Sensor has not changed over an extended vehicle driving period indicating that it may be stuck. 5) PCM lost communication with the Rear Lighting Control Module for a period of time. 6) PCM lost communication with the Passenger Door Control Module for a period of time. 7) PCM lost communication with the Steering Control Column Control Module. 8) PCM lost communication with the Dash Front Control Interface Module for a period of time. 9) PCM lost communication with the Heater Ventilation Air Conditioner Module for a period of time. 10) The Anti-Lock Braking System is sending invalid information oner the Internal Vehicle Communication Network to one or more of the Modules needing this information. 11) PCM lost communication with theAnti-Lock Brake (ABS) Module.
I took a chance and went for a long drive, later that day after a 150 mile drive and a couple restarts the Check Engine lights turned off, I didn't record the actual mileage but it was around 10,300 miles.
