The Pre-Collision AEB - Automatic Emergency Braking system only worked properly once in the 11,538 miles I drove the F150.
Originally it sensed a collision and applied the brakes before I could, that was about 10k miles ago. Since then the warning light and beep has turned on dozens of times, even when no vehicles, animals or pedestrians were present. It seems to have a mind of its own.
I've had it at Performance Ford in Randolph NJ twice already and they're unable to find a solution, the 1st time they kept my truck for 2 weeks and returned it unfixed.
The Service Rep (Jay) said he doesn't know what it is and suggested I leave it to see what happens, but that's is not an acceptable answer. The truck goes back a 3rd time, September 16th 2020, and if they don't come up with something I may have to contact Corporate Ford.
