Today, 4-12-2020, the powering steering failed with no warning. It is Easter Sunday so I plan on having the truck towed to Bozard Ford tomorrow for repairs. This was very scary! Thank God it did not cause an accident. Ford should have a recall on the steering rack.
Update from Oct 24, 2021: The Ford dealership replaced the entire electronic steering rack. Thank God I purchased the extended warranty. The repair would have cost $3k. That's crazy on a 2 year old truck with less than 75k miles!!! What happened to "Built Ford Tough"? FYI, my truck is not even used for any heavy commercial stuff. It's an everyday driver. I do have to admit that Ford did a fantastic job with the new engine though. The power and pickup with the 6 cyl. turbocharged engine is very nice!
