The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the oil pressure warning light illuminated. The vehicle then made an abnormal sound. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the oil drain plug had detached, causing all of the engine oil to leak out of the oil pan. The mechanic added oil to the engine; however, the check engine warning light illuminated while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, but the check engine warning light was no longer illuminated. The independent mechanic determined that the crankcase ventilation system had disconnected; however, no repair was performed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.
