The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. While driving 45 mph in the rain, the driver hit a small bump in the road and lost control of the vehicle. The traction control failed to engage and the vehicle fishtailed and spun out of control. The driver was finally able to control the vehicle before striking a metal pole on the road shoulder. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to mcclary Ford Inc. (1104 highway 72 East, athens, al 35611, (256) 232-4242), but the failure could not be diagnosed and no failure codes were found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,600.
