It looks like 7 youtube videos on Ford f150 (or other ford models with 4" screens ) that show the reset procedure that's on page 475 of the 2018 f150 owners manual. The real pain is we are a small business with 4 trucks - all fords and 3 have this same problem. I've headed to the dealer a few times but the radio screen would come back to life so no problem.
The Ford dealer wouldn't keep it without the problem. When one truck finally went out and wouldn't rest, the truck had 41,888 miles, so it's out of warranty. Colley Ford called back today and it's $1355 to replace the module and reprogram, plus tax. They said it's a tricky problem and another part of the radio/sync 3 system may be faulty so it may have to go back for more work.
