Windshield fluid is freezing up. 1st time I thought it was because the fluid used was only for warmer temps as there was also some ice floating in the reservoir bb. Took to a dealer in NY, had the old fluid removed & replaced with fluid good to -20 degrees. It worked fine at first after repair but then overnight it froze again in the lines (not reservoir). It eventually defrosted in southern Virginia, after driving @6 hours. Luckily the roads were relatively dry. I've lived in cold climates the majority of my life never have experienced this. I found info on you tube that one of the valves needs to be enlarged to prevent freezing.

The rear window on my 2018 Ford F-150 shattered on both sides of the middle sliding window with no impact. The rear window shattered outward towards the bed of the truck and and not inside further confirming the shattered window was not due to impact of any kind. My truck was parked stationary at my office parking garage on an 80-85 degree day when the rear window randomly shattered outward. The edges of the glass that attached to the frame of the truck cab also shattered and "spider webbed" across the entire rear window just as a building window breaks when under stress from structural movement or shifting. The rear window clearly shattered outward from stress on the glass while my truck was parked and not moving. I have researched this incident and found that many other Ford trucks have experienced the rear wind spontaneously shattering with no impact. This is a serious safety hazard and I am relieved that I was not operating the vehicle when the window spontaneously shattered.

The back glass on my 2018 F-150 exploded outwards into the bed of my truck when my wife shut the rear right door. The rear glass had no damage prior to this incident. The vehicle was purchased new, by me, in 2018. The glass was original from the factory. The incident happened today 04 July, 2020. The temperature outside was 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Some glass rained down onto my infant son's car seat base. We were very lucky that my wife decided to put something into the truck before we put my sons car seat in there. The glass cut my wife's hand a little bit. The vehicle was stationary with no key in the ignition.

The electric rear defroster on my 2018 F150 XLT crewcab purchased in 10/2018 stopped working for some reason. I took the vehicle to the dealer for repair and was told that the wires had become disconnected from the rear window glass for an unknown reason. The dealer "repaired" the defroster using epoxy to glue the wires onto the glass again. The vehicle had 13,542 miles on it. I picked up the vehicle from the dealer on 1/15/2020 at about 7pm. The next morning I drove the vehicle to work at 6am for a 24hr shift. I worked until 6am on 1/17/2020 and while I was driving home on a state road with the defroster on the entire rear window exploded suddenly with such force I thought someone had shot the vehicle. While looking for a place to pull over to find out what happened I smelled something burning. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw flames coming up from behind the rear seat back on the passenger side at the bottom of the window. I pulled over and called 911. The vehicle burned while waiting for the fd to respond. The vehicle was a total loss.

On 01/09/2020 I parked my 2018 Ford F 150 in a parking lot when we came back we heard a loud pop and without any influence from outside or inside the back window with the slider inside shattered. We drove to our Ford dealer and he told as that the glass broke without any impact from outside and he is happy that this has not have happened during driving because it could cause a dangerous situation. We contacted Ford directly who denied any responsibility even if their are multiple claims reported from other Ford F 150 drivers with the same model. The defroster for the window was used this morning because it was freezing and the window indicated that it broke because of to much heat and stress in the glass what is in my opinion a manufacturing defect and should be under warranty. I also believe that Ford should recall this cars because they are a danger to their driver and others on the road.

When it rains or when I clean my windshield. It does not leave a clean vision. And I have already changed the wiper blades 4 times. I have took it to the dealers and one of the service mans has the same problems with his new 2019 F150. I really think the wind shield needs to be changed out. I thought they were the blades.

Brand new truck with 750 miles was stationary at a light with cars stationary all around when out of nowhere a huge boom/explosion happened. I look in the rearview mirror and see that the entire rear window(save the middle slider window that's one a separate track) has shattered, but mostly intact, into a million pieces. Upon close inspection I noticed 99% of the glass in the bed and of truck and a few very small particles on the rear headrests. The two noticeable holes in the rear window are on opposite sides from each other and are protruding out as though something transpired in the cab and blew the glass outwards. No foreign objects found in the vehicle or in the bed, no other damage to the truck or remaining windows. No machinery operating in the area or landscape work nearby. I purchased the king ranch diesel half ton new from baytown Ford three weeks ago, June 28th, 2019. The truck had 90 miles on it at delivery and I had it replaced with Ford oem parts the next day at a cost of $750. Baytown Ford has filed a claim on my behalf with Ford; they aren't optimistic.

The driver side rear view mirror has a double image. This makes night driving and identifying object in the mirror more difficult. It duplicates headlights which at night creates more light in the drivers face making it more difficult to see the road. The mirror has been this way since it was test driven the drive train issue, at 7,000 miles the truck has developed a whining sound while accelerating the dealer belies this is the pinion bearing.

Ford 2018 F150 rear window / defroster issues - luckily, my rear window did not shatter as others have experienced, but I have experienced defroster overheating to the point where 2 out of 3 sections of the window no longer work. Upon inspection, it appears the resistive elements are burnt and becoming delaminated from the window in multiple places. I did also smell warm/burning electronics at the time it happened. I took the truck to the dealership - as this should still be under warranty, but was told the claim was denied, even though I did nothing to cause this and they could not tell me what happened. I can see how a sudden over-current / overheating like this could lead to glass shattering and Ford should be held liable if their controls and/or defroster are not working properly. It is also dangerous, as my vision is obstructed as a result of this issue. This most likely happened when the vehicle was stationary, during warm-up, using auto-start.

Used auto start to warm up the truck. Went and started down the street and noticed back window had exploded on both sides of the sliding window. Sliding part was fine. Window was fine when parked 8 hours before. This sat where no one or anything could hit it behind my house. Dealer said it my insurance's problem.

My F-150 with standard mirrors, leaves a driver open to many blind spots. My vehicle is a super crew. I would like to see a larger mirror but I'm told Ford does not make one, which I don't believe. My previous 2012 F-150 super crew had awesome mirrors, which left no room for a blind spot. Why the change" yes, smaller mirrors are more areo dynamic but lack for safety and visualization. All remains as is until people start getting hurt or killed because of poor visualization. Please help me find a safer mirror. Nothing has happened yet, but do we have to wait until someone does"

Rear window visibility without defogger defroster. All cars/trucks should have a rear window defogger defroster. Ford selling vehicles without and ignoring safety issues. Dealership should make it very clear that these trucks sell with or without rear window defogger/defroster and only come as an option. Even my 1955 Renault had one. Thank you.

Windshield has severe pitting and is getting worse everyday. Any sun glare causes loss of visibility and I have to actually stop the vehicle and hang my head from the side window to see. Vehicle has not been exposed to sand storms, etc. I own a 1966 tbird with the original windshield and it has better visibility than the 2018 F150. Ford is dragging their feet and not responding.
