The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission started shifting abnormally. The contact stated that the vehicle was sputtering, vibrating, and shifting unexpectedly before returning to normal operation. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the PCM had previously been reprogrammed under TSB: 17E01 (Power Train) prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the PCM was re-flashed; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 63,000.
