This is my baby, a new 2017 F150 EcoBoost. I always change the oil every 4 to 6000 miles with Mobile One synthetic, no programmer and drive the speed limit. I don't race, and I mostly drive on the highway. I drive about 350 miles to work every other week. This is why I bought a NEW truck. Something I would not have to worry about driving on I95 at 70+ MPH.
For some reason after I got home, I stopped at a red light and the truck started to shake, no engine light, just shake, light turns green so I go and all is good. The next light starts to shake again, again no check engine light and no noise coming from the engine. At this time i was thinking I got some bad gas and it was going to die. Green light and I go to NAPA to get my oil for this oil change, pull into the parking lot and park, then shaking again and now the check engine light comes on for a second then states to blink.
I shut it down and I knew my day was screwed. I had it towed to my Ford Dealership (an hour away). They look at it the next day and tell me there's a hole list of codes and that it jumped timing. They are fixing it under the 5/60k miles warranty but I have 51k on it now - who wants a $50,000 "Fixed" NEW TRUCK? If I wanted a used POS I would have bought one. Now the dealer is telling me there is no additional warranty for this work. So now I'm stuck with a NEW truck I don't trust to go to the store, let alone go to work 350 miles away in all types of weather.
