Was moving my trailer and had unhooked it got in my truck to pull it forward a few feet. Pulled forward and had the door open, stop it put it in park. Got out started to walk back to put my trailer lock on like I have done a hundred times and the truck engine sped up and the truck accelerated backward. I tried to turn to get in to hit the break but the door knocked me down and the front tire hit my knee and leg causing my knee to bend sideways ripping my pants and then I saw my door catch the gate post and push it all the way forward destroying the door and front fender there was 5 other people there that seen this happen and the truck almost ran over one of the guys that was there.

Truck has many alarms - exit vehicle with motor running (apparently does not work if car is in gear). I was driving into my garage and felt the tire hit something. I THOUGHT I had put the truck in park and exited the truck to see what I hit (it was a small planter that had been left in the way).

The truck began to roll back out of the garage. I ran around and tried to enter the truck to hit the brake but the truck slightly accelerated down the drive, knocking me down and flipping me, injuring my back and ripping the driver door backwards. Awaiting insurance adjuster.

1. There MUST be positive accomplishment of clearly slipping into park. This lipping bank to reverse as happened before to me and my wife.

2. Alarm should sound if driver door opens with car in gear.

Update from May 5, 2017: After the accident my wife also experienced the transmission slipping from "P" toReverse. There needs to be a fix so moving into park from reverse is accomplished in a positive manner. Eliminate the sloppy linkage
