The dealer informed him that the leak was on the oil pan and that the oil pan needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also stated the front driver's side failed to latch in the winter causing water to enter into the door handle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and repaired under an unknown recall however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where he was informed that they could not assist with the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance as the vehicle was not under warranty. The contact stated that the manufacturer informed him to call the NHTSA to have a recall issued. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact noticed an oil leak on the garage floor underneath the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the oil pan needed to be replaced. The oil pan was replaced by the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 29,741.
