Decided time to purchase a Detroit/US made Ford F150 to support the American economy. Moved up from Corolla and Prius. However, attempted to take colleagues to lunch last Thursday. We all piled into my truck as I just finished bragging up how I have babied the vehicle by storing it much of the last 6 months. As I turned the ignition, no engine turnover. The display lit up as did the instrument cluster. attempted 5 or more times, and engine did not turnover. AAA roadside assistance was called. Measurements indicated battery was very low. after jumpstart, the truck started. I did not take it to the dealership, as I thought maybe I had not closed the door tightly as the driver door does not close as well as the passenger side.

Second electrical issue within a few hundred miles of first electrical issue. After today I realized that is not the root cause from my last complaint. As I was driving my daughter to church we stopped in a line of cars at a stop light. as the light turned green, the vehicles in front of us proceeded through the green light, however as I depressed the gas peddle, we did not move. the engine was off yet the cluster and display were lit. My daughter and I were stuck on an extremely busy road/intersection blocking a CVS pharmacy entrance and a line of traffic was stacking up behind us. Very dangerous and unsafe feeling, with a terrified little girl with me.

AAA sent a car hauler and F150 is sitting at the dealership. on a side note, the walled lake police called another car transport because they do not have resources to wait for the car hauler AAA assigned, although he was going to be there in 5 minutes. would have been $400 out of my pocket for the police called in transport. THANK GOD the AAA assigned car hauler got there first, phew. I do appreciate the police officer for being behind my truck with lights on protecting myself and daughter. Thank you for that.

Hope Ford sees this and steps up to provide American quality service for those of us attempting to switch from Toyota to Ford. Tomorrow I am back to driving my Prius.
