My first Ford vehicle, bought new. I have had nothing but problems from day one. Where do I start? First the doors froze multiple times even after the recall, the windshield washers' sprayers would freeze anytime it was below freezing, I had to have cam phasers and VCT solenoids replaced at 46k, sync 3 freezes and disconnects phone constantly (a known issue that Ford won’t fix unless you want to replace the APIM for over $1000), and now this at 48 k and they had to rebuild the differential. What a waste of hard earned money on this truck! If you're reading this and thinking of buying a F150, DON'T DO IT, DO YOUR RESEARCH. Ford does not make a quality truck anymore.
For the second time, the rear differential failed in my 2106 F-150. Tech stated the pinion gear was extremely difficult to turn and the required torque to turn the gear and significantly higher than normal. I brought the light whine in the gear to the attention of a Ford dealership in August and then again in November. Both times they said it was normal. It was not! After the gear finally started making a grinding noise, I took it into Ford where they replaced the rear differential again! I am not happy!
So my 2016 F150 XLT ecoboost started making this buzzing noise from the from hubs (the colder it is the worse). Took to Dealer they changed the Vacuum solenoid (said it's fixed) not taken back they call say need to replace the hubs they are back ordered wait week and a half. IWE's are replaced Dealer calls says it's fixed, second day of driving and noise is BACK. It's back at the Dealer now 2016 17,000 miles, HELP
I'm surprised that i have already had a Failure of a Major Drivetrain component within the first 2 month of owning the truck, truck could end up being a lemon.
