The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Service Advance Trac System and Hill Assist fault messages were displayed, causing the vehicle to go into LIMP Mode. The failure nearly caused a crash. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, no error codes were retrieved. The mechanic replaced the wheel hubs, ABS sensor, TCM, and several other unknown parts; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer confirmed that there was no recall associated with the VIN and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.
