My Ford SYNC system has frozen many times. One time I took it to a Ford Dealer in Boise Idaho, who used a memory stick to bring system back on line, however software was still old version. I have taken it to James Ford in Half Moon Bay and asked them to do a software update several times. There is always an excuse why they can't do this. One time, their WIFI wasn't strong enough. Then the WIFI was strong enough, they didn't have time, although the vehicle was there for two weeks on another issue. Most recently, while attempting to address a recall issue, James Ford said they encountered a fault code and couldn't proceed with software update. If a Ford dealer can't deal with a Ford issue, who can? How with all the computers and hardware, access to memory sticks for updates, at a dealership, can a Ford dealer not know how to fix a software issue?

Sync 3 system drops phone call, freezes. This was supposed to be fords answer to all the problems with my ford touch and sync and it’s just as bad as they were. Pages and pages of complaints on Ford forums. Do your research on Sync3 before you buy a Ford with it, you'll thank me later, thousands of problems that Ford doesn’t know how to fix.

Sync3 navigation system does not function. Dealer says that Ford does not have a fix for the problem and the system cannot be repaired. Contacted Ford several times. Ford CASE #: CAS-14707077. Ford said they do not have a solution for the problem and no repair or replacement parts are available. Asked about replacing the complete system. Ford said that was not an option. This is not a isolated problem for just me. There are thousands of F-150's with this problem.

I think Ford is ignoring the problem thing it will fade away. It's hard to believe that a Company as big as Ford Motor Company does not have an Engineer smart enough to correct the problem. The Sync3 system is being installed currently in new vehicles. I'm sure they aren't installing defective Sync3 systems they just don't want to correct the existing problem. I'm sure as soon as the extended Warranty has expired they will have a fix and say it isn't covered.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
