The backup camera for a modern truck with an 8' bed is essential, especially if you are towing a trailer. I was very disappointed that this camera failed at all. The Ford dealership replaced the camera under warranty, however, it was not installed correctly and I had to make a return trip to get it properly installed. After the first installation the backup guides were not working and so you must check this before you drive away.
The second camera is already beginning to fail again and this time the entire radio/video screen console is failing as well.
I'm beginning to think I bought a $28,000 lemon.
According to several Internet posts these backup cameras have been a problem for years. What's the problem Ford?
