Wasn’t aware of this issue, I was on a 1500 miles road trip and wheels felt out of balance. When I took it back to shop where they were balanced, they informed me the lugs were swollen. Had to call a friend to ask about that!

I have never had a vehicle, in my 20+ years of owning and operating, that I could not get the lug wrench on the lug nuts because they were made of such cheap alloy that they swelled up. This is horrible. It's a BAD look for a big name American company.

When you pay as much for truck as a small house you expect a certain level of quality and excellence in the vehicle. Ford should be ashamed.

The class attorneys screwed this claim up, it needs to be refiled, this is a safety issue. I got a flat tire yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I found out the lug wrench would not fit my lug nuts!! I then realized that not only did the wrench not fit on the wheel that had a flat, but that it would no longer fit on any of the lug nuts on any of my other wheels either. I had to call a tow truck. The guy just laughed and said he had seen this many times before! He ended up hammering a larger size socket on to the nuts and got them off with an impact gun. One of the nuts was so bad he had to cut off the chrome cap to get to the nut underneath so that it could be removed! I was fortunately in a parking lot, but what if I was on the side of a freeway. Someone is going to end up getting hit by a car stranded on the side of the road with a flat they can't change! Step up to the plate Ford!

The caps allegedly swell, crack and delaminate to the point where the lug nuts cannot be removed with the lug wrench provided by Ford. This leaves owners and lessees who get flat tires often stranded on the roads without the ability for even tow truck drivers to remove the swollen lug nuts. This means a tow to the shop just to have the lug nuts removed and the tire replaced.
