The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact heard a snap and cracking sound coming from the front driver-??s side wheel. The contact drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the roadway and parked. The contact exited the vehicle and performed an inspection. The contact noticed that the front wheel had detached, and the ball joints were fractured. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a fractured axle. The contact was informed that the axle needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was informed of the recall NHTSA Campaign Number: 21E027000 (Suspension) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline and report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 152,000.

The contact stated that while an independent mechanic was performing an oil change on the vehicle, the contact was informed that there was a hole in the passenger's side subframe, at the cross member and transmission connecting point. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 39,970.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving various speeds and making a left or right turn, a noise was heard coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle. The contact stated that the issue occurred when the vehicle was placed in 4 wheel and 2 wheel drive. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to don wood Ford Lincoln Inc. (2065 E state St, athens, oh 45701, (740) 593-6642) several times, but a failure could not be diagnosed or duplicated. The manufacturer was notified and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 26,500.

2015 Ford F-150. Consumer writes in regards to several defects with vehicle. The consumer stated there were multiple instances where the vehicle stalled, the check engine light illuminated. The steering gear, steering shaft, steering wheel needed to be replaced. The consumer blew the horn and a whole was punctured in the steering wheel. The wrench light illuminated. There was a fluid leak from the rear left axle. The shutter grille actuator became unplugged.

Truck rear end bounces and shifts violently going over bumps and on rough roads driving over 40 mph. When driving over speed bumps the truck feels as though it has bottomed out or the rear shocks have fully compressed and giving no support. These symptoms happen daily and makes driving dangerous on rough roads.

The contact owned a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle jerked to the left and the contact crashed into a guardrail. A police report was filed. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained injuries to the lower back and had a slight concussion. Medical attention was required. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the driver side lower ball joint failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000. The vehicle was destroyed.
