2015 F150 ecoboost, first time issue probably related to wiring and getting wet ongoing issue that I have has with the truck. Truck would start catch for 10 seconds and die. This happened about 4 or 5 times before the truck would stay running. Once the truck actually stayed running it ran rough for about 15 -20 minutes. Ever since then every time the truck is started the RPM will hunt between 8-1200 rpm for about 3-4 minutes before idling at 1000 RPMS.
For the first 12000km of owning this truck I was averaging about 1100km to tank or 10.2 to 11.0 km/100L. The truck now is averaging about 15.2-17.8km/100L or about 700-825km per tank 136L tank. This truck has 49,000.km on the truck daily commuter truck of 250km per day all highway running at 110km.
I have complained about horrible fuel mileage to the dealership but they have told me that I should be getting 11.8 to 13.6 L/100km is normal, however Ford is claiming the that ecoboost get highway 9.2L/100km or city 11.8L/100km. They claim that these issues were from a dead left engine bank and plugged CAT converter and 2 failed O2 sensor which were all replaced about 2 months ago. I did obtain about a month of 1000-1100km per tank. but the problem has came back and had 2 mechanic check my truck out and have told me that the oil smelled like gas. Brought these issues up to my Ford customer relations worker and the dealership and nothing has been addressed thus far. I have been told that they are waiting to hear from engineering on how to correct the problem.
