The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact was able to make a right turn and pulled to the side of the road. The contact allowed the vehicle to cool down for 30 minutes, and then the vehicle was restarted. The vehicle was towed to the residence, where the contact replaced the thermostat and the coolant himself. The contact stated that the vehicle operated as needed after the repair. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 175,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at approximately 25 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that oil was leaking from the turbocharger. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to a local dealer for repair. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the cylinder head, exhaust manifolds, and vacuum pump gasket needed to be replaced. The local dealer informed the contact that the turbocharger would eventually need to be replaced also. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that oil was leaking from the vehicle near the oil pan. After inspecting the vehicle, the contact became aware that oil was leaking out of the oil pan, onto parts that were extremely hot causing a burning odor. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the oil pan was leaking, and the oil pan was warped. The contact learned about the failure related to Service Bulletin: 232083, NHTSA ID Number: 10233594 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 140,000.

The warning light disappeared; however, an abnormal, rattling noise was coming from the vehicle at start-up. The contact believed that the failure was linked to a defective camshaft phaser. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the VIN. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the engine coolant temperature and the check engine warning lights illuminated intermittently. The contact stated that the failure had become frequent. After using a personal diagnostic reader, he retrieved two failure codes for the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor circuit. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the knock sensor wiring harness, coolant sensors, and fuel seals needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that there was no recall under VIN and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 72,000.
