Manifold bolts have failed my 3.5L Ecoboost. Fumes are consistently entering the cabin area because they are warped and leaking. It seems like a carbon monoxide safety issue. It is definately an engineering failure because of the configuration of the bolt pattern. I understand that it is a common problem for that engine.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the check engine warning light and service engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the "Uphill Assist Not Available" and "Advance Service Tract Not Available" messages were displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle idled and was running rough while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle continued to run rough for 5 minutes and the contact continued driving; however, the failure reoccurred twice within 15 minutes on that same day. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 111,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, an abnormal banging and crackling sound was coming from the engine. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to coast the vehicle to an independent mechanic and upon inspection, the mechanic determined that the vehicle had experienced engine failure. The contact was then referred to the dealer for assistance by the independent mechanic. The contact initially called North Country Ford (10401 Woodcrest Dr NW, Coon Rapids, MN) and was given a six-week estimate for an appointment. The contact then called another dealer and was given a three-week estimate for an appointment. The vehicle was then towed to that dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was also informed that the main engine bearing along with both turbochargers needed to be replaced. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 79,689. The consumer stated the vehicle was traded in for a Dodge Ram.

After the dealer performed the 100k major service the engine began, periodically, to stall. The stall could occur while stopped (at a light or to make turn), while in park and only idling, or when the vehicle was in motion at less than 25 mph. If it stalled while starting a turn, then there was a serious risk of major collision from oncoming traffic. In said turn, more than a reasonable amount of time or distance was allowed to make the turn safely. However, if the oncoming vehicle did not recognized the vehicle was stalling, or had otherwise failed to properly evaluate the situation early enough then a collision would be likely. A scan of multiple Internet web sites found thousands of people, with model years before and after my vehicle, having the same or similar issue.

When I come to a stop, either at a red light or stop sign, and I have my foot on the brake, and come to a complete stop. The engine would idle rough and then would either die on me, or if I have time, I would put the driver selector switch into neutral and give it some gas before the engine quits. I have a OBD2 reader for my IPad, and when this happens, usually the codes P0365, or P0369 occur. I have had my truck into the shop numerous times to get fixed, and they have replaced the Cam Sensor for those P0365, and P0369 codes, but the problem still exists.

The oil pan is leaking oil and this is a prevalent problem with 2015 through 2021 years of many Ford models. The leaked oil can and is running back onto the vehicle under carrage and is a fire potential when coating the exhaust system which has high heat during operation. The problem has been reproduced and is recognized by the manufacturer. The later model years have had a redesign to attempt to correct the issue however the earlier 2015 - 2017 nothing has been done No warnings or messages are given that this issue is present. Some vehicles have had this repaired at significant cost as many as 3 times only for the issue to reappear again.

Just replace electronic throttle body for SECOND time at 106,185 miles. First time was at 38,460 miles. Both times replaced by Ford dealer at my expense. Recently contacted Ford with no response yet. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. TRUCK STALLS WITHOUT ANY WARNING. VERY DANGEROUS. I have never replaced a throttle body on any other vehicle I have owned in 45 years of driving!!

While driving, both around town and on the highway, all of the gears disappear from the gear cluster and when this happens my vehicle will not shift out of the gear that it is in. When pressing the gas pedal, I have had nothing happen and the vehicle shift unexpectedly or not shift at all. Instead of accelerating, it caused the rpm's to redline and I nearly went into the wall while on the highway. If the truck is turned off while the numbered gears on the cluster have disappeared then I have had problems trying to restart the truck. The truck will also have a warning pop up to "see manual" and warn you that the blind spot detection is offline. This problem has nearly caused me to be in several severe accidents and serious enough for me to spend the time typing this complaint. After diagnosis at Ford, they relayed that it is the molded lead frame for the transmission and that there are a few years models of f150 with this recall but not the 2015 year model.

I was driving on a city street at about 30mph up a slight incline when the truck just seem to shut off. But it didn't die, the engine was still running but barely. It was running very rough, like miss firing on several cylinders. It would not accelerate, no change of engine sound or power, the throttle was totally unresponsive. It also felt as if the brakes were being applied slightly. A message came on the dash saying something about hill assist and another wrench message. I had no chose but to pull over in traffic before it quit. This was on or about July 18 then again today on July 26. This time I was one a city street down to one lane due to construction. I was barely able to make it to a turn off before it totally quit moving, with traffic backed up behind me. I shut off the engine to let the computer reboot and got a message that hill assist was now off. After a longer than normal crank time it started and ran ok. I called Stivers Ford to make an appointment and was told it was probably a fluke, and wait and see if it did it again. I now have an appointment for August 4 to have it checked. I went on Google after the first time and found many complaints about the same situations, but with no fixes. If this were to happen under the right circumstances it could be very serious. I'm a recently retired auto technician, and shop owner of 48 years. I understand the difficulty in finding intermittent failures. But after reading all the same symtoms in Ford pickups for years it seems there should be more done from the manufacturer to address this problem.

While driving on the freeway the truck completely lost throttle, note electrical stayed and engine idled roughly during this time. Had to emergently pull to the side of the freeway while the truck coasted nearly causing several accidents and people swerved around the truck. Since this initial incident this has happened approximately 15 times on various roads and in intersections. Dealership is saying that some of the electronic throttle bodies (TSB 16-0139) were defective which causes this issue.
