This issue has now happened 6 times without showing a pattern. While driving the vehicle completely loses all throttle power and the message center displays 'service advancetrac' 'hill start assist disabled' and the ABS and service engine lights illuminate. This has happened on back roads at slower speeds and on highways at 70 mph. Again, all throttle power is lost. This issue has been reported on numerous forums and there have been 2 consensus fixes, replace throttle body and an apparent issue with the tightness of a throttle cable.

The front differential needs to be rebuilt. Possible failure due to failed bearing seals. Causing noise that will lead to bearing, axle failure. When I described the problem everyone knew exactly what the problem was. I asked if it was a recall they said no. It really needed to be fixed and would be around $1000.. I was very surprised they "everyone" knew except for me!! seems like if it is "most" or "all" then Ford to tell customers. Front differential fails at 55 mph that is going to be a big problem for someone!!

While driving as you try to maintain speed at a lower RPM the trans feels like shaking or makes a noise of rattling, and also hard down shifts from 5th to 4th to 3rd gear, I have it looked at at 2 dealerships and one said nothing wrong and the second one said the rattling noise was the skid guard wasn't tight enough supposedly they did tight it but noise is still there

While traveling in a straight line at 60 mph (posted highway peed limit) the vehicle suddenly down-shifted to a much lower gear (1st or 2nd?), causing engine rpms to dramatically increase. I responded to the unintended condition by taking sudden dramatic braking action. This resolved this incident. The vehicle is 2 years, 3 months old with slightly over 22,000 miles, and is scheduled for the dealer to conduct a "transmission code review" on 01/10/18.

My truck odometer shows I have 26582 miles on the truck. And the engine hours shows I have 867 hours. However rusty wallace service department said I have 63000 miles according to the PCM!!! I have transmission problems and they do not want to fix the truck under warranty. I content that the truck is still under warranty I have not done anything to the odometer. I have pictures that show I was doing 72 miles a hour and on the digital speedometer but the other speedometer showed I was doing 90 miles a hour. I parked the truck and it stilled showed I was doing 20 mph. I have attached the photos.

I would like to highlight safety concern on Ford F-150 intake throttle failures. I believe there has been a recall on this part for a different S/N range of Ford F-150. This VIN was not in the list. When this fails, you lose all power and truck goes into neutral. Was towing loaded trailer in 4 lanes of high speed interstate city driving. Almost was in serious accident. Ford customer service did nothing or indicate that they were going to look at S/N range impacted. I am a chief engineer at caterpillar. I understand the business of effective S/N and what is included in mandatory recalls. Their lack of action is a concern.

During the "very random" process of shifting the automatic transmission, from any gear to any gear, the gear does not engage and appears to be in neutral then the engine revs to the highest RPM until I press the brake and put into gear a second time. This happens both while the truck is in motion and when at a stop shifting from reverse to drive. This has happened at least 20 times since I have owned the truck. When this occurs it is unpredictable. It happens both when I am hauling a trailer and when I am not. I haul a small two horse trailer weekly and this happened to me while driving down a steep hill and I downshifted. The truck did not feel like it was under my control. I panic ever time this has happened and the dealership does not seem to have a fix for the problem.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that there was an abnormal noise progressing while driving 50 mph or in reverse. Also, the transmission jerked in and out of gear without warning. The dealer was notified more than once and was unable to replicate and diagnose the failure. The manufacturer issued five technical service bulletins for the power train. The dealer (winner Ford, 250 haddonfield-berlin rd, cherry hill, NJ 08034, (856) 428-4000) indicated that they were unable to determine a remedy pertaining to that information. In addition, the contact had a warranty and the dealer stated that the vehicle was 14 days outside of the window to receive warranty service. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving 60 mph, the contact stated that the transmission downshifted independently. The contact also stated that the transmission disengaged and then slammed into gear. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent and had happened at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to town and country Ford (101 anderson ln, madison, tn 37115 (615) 865-1280) where it was diagnosed that the lead frame connector needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while hauling a trailer at a highway rate of speed, the brake pedal had to be slowly applied due to the transmission being slow to change over; there was a loud noise and a hard downshift that continued to progress. A dealer (rapid Ford, 1510 S pokegama ave, grand rapids, mn 55744, (218) 326-0551) was notified and the vehicle was to be inspected and diagnosed to determine the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that they had no recall and no recommended solution. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was not available.

This took 4 attempts and 2 dealers to resolve - ~34K miles- loud grinding/vibration from front left 4X4 hub when driving any speed. The first dealer had the truck for 6 days and claimed they didn't see or hear the problem. The second trip to the dealer they had for a few more days and said they fixed it. On the way home it was obviously not fixed and I turned around and took it back. Again after two days they said it was fixed yet it was not. I then took it to a different dealer and they knew what the problem was and fixed it. They also informed me the service log didn't show any service attempts to the truck so my truck sat for almost two weeks and no work was actually done and I was lied to. Second issue - not resolved. Life of vehicle - wobble/vibration from 4X4 transfer case that intensifies with increased speed. Driving in 4X4 low at all speeds you can feel and see the steering wheel shake, even going as slow as 10mph. The steering wheel, seats and peddles shake as if the tires aren't balanced. I have installed 3 different sets of tires and it still shakes. 2 different tire shops verified the tires are good and the alignment was good. The shaking isn't bad like the death wobble but doesn't feel safe. It shakes enough that my 3 year old gets sick to her stomach from the bouncing. Third issue - resolved with my money - at about 45K miles the factory front rotors were worn to the point of replacement due to deep cuts. This occurred with the factory brake pads.

VIN: [xxx] make: Ford F150 2015 on the morning of June 20th 2017, I was sitting in the passenger seat journaling and listing to music. The vehicle was parked and running because I was listening to the radio and enjoying the air conditioner. My husband had driven the vehicle and parked it. He had exited the vehicle and went up to his appointment and I was in the vehicle, in the passenger seat, journaling for at least ten minutes or more. I needed to use the restroom so I put my stuff in the bag at my feet, on the floor board on the passenger side. I reached over, gripped the key, turned it to the off position, removed the key from the ignition, the truck was fully off. I began opening the passenger door to exit the vehicle and realized the vehicle was rolling backwards. I slammed my door, tried to use the shifter but it did not move. I was steering the vehicle to the right knowing there were vehicles parked behind me. I threw the key in put it in drive and hit the brake, but it was to late and I had hit another vehicle. I was lucky nobody was in the other vehicle or behind my vehicle. Somebody could have been hurt or killed. I pulled the truck forwards, I parked and handled what had just occurred. I don"T know what to do. We no longer feel our vehicle is safe when in park. I know the 2017 models are having this same problem, if Ford still cant fix this problem two years later, why would I feel our vehicle is safe or trust that it does not have a defect that needs fixing?????" please help! thank you for your time. Within the first year of use an intermittent (few days a week) vibration + humming / grinding type noise was present when turning (left and right) at low speeds (<25mph). The vibration sometimes cyclic, felt in steering wheel, and is audible from passenger seat. The vibration is distracting and often occurs when slowing down at stoplights or stop signs. The noise & vibration, however, remain when the brakes are not engaged. The noise & vibration exist while in 4X4 as well as 4X2 and 4A. The issue has been verified multiple times by service staff at 2 different dealerships. Vehicle has been in for service multiple times (3 prior) and parts have been replaced to attempt to address the issue (front iwe assemblies which were found to have partial leak, front left hub assembly found to have resistance / grinding was replaced). Sound / vibration remained after service. Vehicle currently in for service 4th time at dealership to address issue again (33 days+ and counting). No resolution yet.

When moving in reverse or drive, from a stop, the rear end makes a loud popping sound. (thought my spare tire had come loose. Verified that was not the case) while driving on a roadway and turning corners, you can feel the rear end sway as if the axle shafts are too long which causes the rear end to feel loose. Effects driveability.

The failure was persistent. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V248000 (power train). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. On several occasions when the vehicle was placed in reverse after the auto shift feature was used, the vehicle failed to operate as intended. The dealer diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The transmission was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was again taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure or produce a fault code. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. Driving the Ford F150 (V6 ecoboost) on a city street (35 mph) it has failed at random times (I've now seen this issue more than 3 times) usually with 3 major failures. These 3 failures (1) engine, transmission, and emissions 2) brakes & suspension 3) restratins & driver assistance) cause the truck to transition to 'limp' mode which can actually be just as hazardous. If I'm turning onto a road with a 55+ mph speed limit I need to accelerate but if this system fails, along with the restraints & driver assistance, this could be a very dangerous and life threatening situation. The reason why is that the restraints & driver assistance goes off now disabling my airbags, etc. And if I now get hit (because now I'm in limp mode going about 7 mph) I have lost a great deal of 'built-in' protection without the airbags. Translate that to driving on a highway and encountering this situation and you can see that loss of life is not out of the question. I've taken the truck back to Ford for the warranty work and they say they believe it's an electronic throttle body controller that has gone bad and needs to be replaced but right now it's at least 3 weeks before they can get a replacement part. Compounding this issue is that Ford had issued an internal recall for V8's built at the same plant as my V6 ecoboost truck for the same type of issue.

Since buying my truck brand new around a year ago, I have had consistent problems with my transmission. Most of the time, in the "drive" option, the transmission jerks jolts while changing gears. It is very loud, and makes you feel like something bad just happened. Most importantly, the transmission shifts into first gear while the truck is still moving in manual mode. It does it almost every time around 7-9 miles per hour. It happens so violently, it slams everyone in the vehicle forward. I reported in to johnson city Ford in johnson city, T.N. I think this problem is an immediate safety and mechanical problem for my family. I also believe it is doing permanent damage to my vehicle I will have to pay for later down the road. The powertrain has completely stopped working 3 times, stranding me, and my family in oncoming traffic. After turning the vehicle off, and on, several times, I was able to engage drive, and move the truck out of traffic. The truck has been repaired 3 times for the same defect, but Ford refuses to repurchase/replace the vehicle. No one in my family is comfortable riding in, or driving this vehicle. 1st time: While attempting to back into my drive way, reverse completely stopped working, stranding me perpendicular to traffic, in the road. 2nd time: With another adult, and 3 children in the vehicle, I was driving through an intersection in atlanta, and the RPM's went to 5000, with no movement. We were completely stuck in the dead center of an extremely busy intersection, unable to drive forward, or backward. After several attempts of turning it on, and off, I was able to move from the intersection, in four wheel drive. 3rd time: While driving in stop, and go traffic, in atlanta, I was attempting to make a left hand turn, when the same symptoms as before happened. I was unable to move forward, or backward, until a few cycles of turning the car on, and off. I have written E-mails to the CEO, managing director, and customer relations of Ford Motor Co., only to be handed off to a regional customer service person. Their answer is that they will stand behind their warranty, and continue to fix the vehicle. I have all the repair files, E-mails sent to all involved, and phone records of the many times I have had to contact the dealership, and Ford's customer relations manager. Too many to begin any upload.
