The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH and entering an intersection, the brake pedal was depressed, and the pedal extended to the floorboard. Due to the brake failure, the vehicle failed to stop and drove through a red light into the intersection. The vehicle eventually rolled to a stop. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the brake fluid reservoir cap had come off and brake fluid had leaked from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V332000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 130,000.

The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The contact stated that the brake warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000. The contact mentioned that the brake pedal was depressed several times for the vehicle to stop. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front brake hose, brake fluid, and brake system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 56,700.

The contact's husband owned a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that her husband had exited her vehicle to park his Ford F-150 into their driveway. Upon start of the vehicle, the contact's husband lost complete control of the vehicle and clipped the side of her vehicle and crashed into a retainer wall. The contact's husband stated that the vehicle independently took off as the brakes failed to operate while being depressed. The contact was unaware if any warning lights illuminated prior to the failure. The air bags failed to deploy upon impact. Upon exiting the vehicle, the contact's husband was covered in blood and the contact had a knot on the back of her head while in her vehicle. The contact immediately cleaned off her husband for cuts on both his legs and arms. The contact's husband was later treated at a hospital for a broken back and ribs. A police report was filed as a result of the accident. The vehicle was towed to fiesta Ford, Inc.(78990 varner rd, indio, ca 92203) where the vehicle was deemed totaled. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and they offered no assistance with the failure. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 20V332000(service brakes, hydraulic); however, the vehicle was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 20V332000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. After receiving the notification, the contact stated that upon start of her vehicle, she had depressed the brake pedal to place the vehicle into drive. As she moved the gear shifter from park with her foot still on the brake pedal, the vehicle independently moved forward without warning. The contact immediately placed the vehicle back into park, restarted the vehicle, and the vehicle resumed normal operation. Mike carpino Ford pittsburg, Inc. (1097 South, us-69, pittsburg, ks 66762) was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair. Frank fletcher Ford (3015 turkey creek rd, joplin, mo 64801) was also notified of the failure and informed the contact that the part was available to fix the vehicle however, the mechanic was unable to perform the recall repair unless the contact experienced the failure. The contact then took the vehicle to briggs Ford of fort scott (1819 S main St, fort scott, ks 66701) where she was informed that the mechanic could perform the remedy for another recall on the vehicle but could not repair the vehicle under NHTSA campaign number: 20V332000 (service brakes, hydraulic) because the parts were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer apologized and stated they would look into the matter. The manufacturer offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was unavailable. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
