"check brake or check brake controller" appears on dash. Has occured twice in first 8,000 miles. Dealers clear code the brakes seem to be fine. Now " check hill decent" has appeared and truck will not accelerate more than 2-3 mph. This has occured twice in first 8,000 miles on city streets in motion or when starting from a stop light.

I purchased a new 2015 Ford F-150, super crew cab, 4X4 in June 2015. It has a V6, 3.5 L ecoboost engine. The vehicle currently has about 7700 miles. For the past several months as I come to a slow stop I hear an intermitting rotating scraping sound which appears to be coming from the right rear break. It has been to the dealership, where I purchased the vehicle, for this issue three times but the service department has not been able to locate or correct the issue.

Saw recent news article about F150 brakes..I purchased my 2015 F150 last March 2015. With only 980 miles (yes 980) on it my brakes began to fade out. Ultimately they stopped working and the vehicle would not come to a stop as the brakes continually faded out. Brought it back to Ford who ran several tests and could not find out why this happened. They confirmed that there was a problem but did not know why.they told me same. The western U.S. Ford representative even called me to apologize. Ultimately they replaced my rotors and pads, not certain what else they may have replaced. I asked where all the parts were going that they replaced and was told by the rep that they would be sent back to their engineers and I would most likely never hear why the brakes failed. I do not have documentation. The vehicle was purchased and serviced at towne Ford in redwood city ca. I can prove this occurred by asking them for my work order which should be in their system if needed.

I received a recall notice from Ford telling me to bring the truck to the dealer to have the adaptive cruise control reprogrammed. I did have this work done. After the work was done I had an incident where I was passing an 18 wheeler and the truck set off the collision warning alarm and applied the brakes hard. If someone was following closely it would have been a collision. There was no traffic in my lane for at least 1/4 mile ahead. Ford has not been helpful in resolving this issue and their only suggestion is to turn off the adaptive cruise control. I paid a lot of money for what I feel is an important and useful safety feature and want Ford to fix the system so it will not malfunction and possibly cause a rear end collision.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 20 mph, the brake pedal was forcefully engaged with both feet; however, the vehicle failed to slow down and crashed into the rear of the preceding vehicle. The contact injured both legs and knees, including the hip area. The contact did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not towed. The vehicle was driven with caution. The day prior to the crash, the brakes were depressed numerous times before coming to a stop and there was a delayed response. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 6,000.

My 2015 Ford F150 platinum has had the Ford recall 15S29 applied Sept 30, 2015. The above mentioned 2015 Ford F150 platinum has since had the original problem, hard braking while passing a semi trailer while on the interstate at interstate speeds. This serious event happened Oct 2, 2015. The recall did not fix the problem. The hard braking is a very sudden and serious event. It takes the truck from 70 to 55 or less mph within the time it takes me to react and hit the gas pedal to stop the braking (1 second?). this problem has happened many times since I purchased the vehicle new on May 29, 2015. I have been lucky so far that no one has been close behind me when it has happened. The problem has happened for multiple types of semi trailers, box, tanker, shiny aluminum, painted white, etc. Once, it appeared to happen as I went under an interstate over pass (no vehicles were anywhere near in front of me at the time). I have purchased a car dvr camera, specifically to track this problem, and a problem where the car very frequently says to put my hands on the steering wheel (while they already are). The camera power cable had come out (no recordings) on Oct 1, 2015, so I do not have a recording of the post-recall hard braking event. The interstate hard braking events happen to me about once every 500 miles (one time many times in single day). There is no doubt in my mind this problem continues to be a severe and significant safety issue with my 2015 Ford F150 platinum. The consumer referenced recall # 15V614000.

The truck is equipped with adaptive cruise control and collision alert systems. Intermittently, when traveling at interstate speeds with the adaptive cruise control activated and passing tractor-trailer sized vehicles, the adaptive cruise control will falsely sense another vehicle directly in front and activate the brake system, resulting in rapid deceleration of the truck and creating the potential for a collision from behind. When the system activates, there are no other vehicles in front of the truck, only in the adjacent lane. This has happened over half a dozen times, and has resulted in near rear-end collisions from vehicles behind the truck because of how rapidly the adaptive cruise control slows the truck. Passengers in the truck have been thrown into their seatbelts from the rapid deceleration of the truck. Luckily no one has been hurt, but this presents an extreme safety problem and has resulted in having to turn off the adaptive cruise control and collision alert systems. When driving at night in the far left lane going 72 mph with the adaptive cruise control on, the truck randomly slammed on the brakes and the red crash indicator flashed although there was nothing in front of the truck. If someone was behind me, it is likely they would have rear ended my vehicle. There seems to be a defect in the auto cruise control, although Ford believes this behavior is normal.
