The rear door opens fully and can/will forcefully hit/strike the side of your truck. A strong wind can do it!
Is was on a fishing trip at Cape Lookout, NC. My son left the rear door (Super Cab) open. The wind blew the door open "fully" and I do mean "fully". It seems the door hinge is designed to unnecessarily swing open to a point where it is flush/parallel with the side of the truck. The door forcefully hit, and dented, the side/bed of my truck. There is nothing to prevent this from happening. There should be some sort of strap or other limiting device to prevent the door from opening to the point it strikes the side of the truck. I used some flex ties to hopefully prevent it in the future. If you own a Super Cab you need to be aware of this issue!
