I have the same complaint that many F150 drivers have. The seat cooling function on this truck is not worth turning on in the summer in Arizona. You would think this function should be great and will use it all the time, and your right. But it doesn't work. The bottom seat cools you down that works great. The backrest feels like you have the heater on your back. I feel the back of the seat and the motors are hot. I took it in to the dealer and they said they know of this issue but its a ford design. Now I was in Reno Nevada in summer and this function works great. So it might be a combination of extreme weather and altitude. But then again if your cabin is cooled down and you turn on your cool seats why does it get HOT? Maybe Ford needs to look at this issue in the states its happening instead of their home base. I know Ford can have an engineer fix this issue. Dont tell me Kia has figured this issue out cause my wife's Optima cool seat works great.

2015 Ford F150 Lariat Pickup front seat cooling system sucks. The seat cools my butt properly, but in the process heats my back to the point I have to stop driving. Have seen other complaints about same problem. Called dealer, has not heard but said he will investigate. Paid WAY too much for this truck in HOT Texas to not have it work properly.

After having the Seat AC on for ~1 hour, the seat back will begin to get uncomfortably hot. Ford technicians like to blame seat covers, but the problem still persists when there are no seat covers or objects against the seat. The electrical for the Seat AC has been replaced once before.

I drive many cars for a living as a rental car company employee. Mustang, Fusion, Taurus, Expedition, all of they cool seats work great. You can't leave them on high or they get too cold. My BRAND NEW F-150, the first brand new car I buy. Doesn't even consistently get cool on high. The only consistent thing is the back of the seat (the area that touches my back) gets hot. I feels like the heated seats are on all the time instead.

After heaving the cooling seat feature on, the back of the seat get's extremely hot. It's not hot to the touch but extremely warm to the point it defeats the purpose of having the cooling seat feature. I have to turn off the cooling seat feature. Please fix this!

Front cooling seats do not function. They will come one and make noise but no cooling. After several minutes the seat back will get scorching hot. Took it to the dealership to get it fixed with what Ford is calling a solution. Now the passenger seat works, but now the driver seat come one, makes noises but does not cool or blow air. Turn it off and when I try to turn it back on, nothing.

Starting to regret staying loyal to Ford at this point as they are not being very proactive at making the necessary corrections and my regional service person does not feel like they need to respond to my email of the list of problems I am having with this truck.

seat cooling system malfunction seat cooling system malfunction seat cooling system malfunction

Front seat back cooling system (TED) is malfunctioning.

When seat cooling is selected, after 30 minuets, the back of the front seats reach extreme temperatures, resulting in burning everyone that touches the back of the front seats.

Someone has measured the temperatures, at the top of the map pocket, at over 115 degrees, when ambient temperatures were at 75 degrees. When ambient temperatures rise above 90 degrees, the front seat back temperature can reach up to 150 degrees or more!
