Got in the truck to leave my daughter's house and the "My Key" light came on the dash. Tried to erase it but it wouldn't. Got on the road home, and discovered that there was some kind of "governor" on the engine and got an error that said I couldn't go over 60 mph!!! Tried turning on the radio and the sound was muted at less than half the volume. Got home and got the owner's manual out and did everything it said to do. SO FRUSTRATING!
I called the dealership a couple of days later and had to wait TWO WEEKS to get it in. I was told if I was having problems with only one key, it wouldn't cost anything. They would just reprogram. But since neither key worked to fix it, they charged me $125.00 and I wasted half the day on what was supposed to be an hour job! I sat there for TWO AND A HALF HOURS waiting and when I asked about what was taking so long, someone came out and SAID THEY LOST THE KEYS? WTF??? They asked me to check my purse!! HELLLLLLO!!!!
Someone moved the damn truck out of the service lane to a bay so they had to have turned the flipping thing on!! I was so pissed! The guy told me they had FOUR GROWN MEN LOOKING FOR THE KEYS IN MY TRUCK for TWO AND A HALF HOURS AND COULDN'T FIND THEM?!?! I threw a fit and walked out to the service around, opened the door and looked under the seat (how they got there is anyone's guess!) and there they were! I went nuts! Whomever moved the truck to the service bay obviously threw them under the seat!!! And this place is the most reputable Ford dealership in northern Cincinnati! SMDH.....
