The electrical system occasionally fails to recognize the electronic key fobs (push button start) and displays on the instrument panel "key not detected" and the vehicle won't start. Key fobs occasionally (most of the time) won't unlock the doors and the red collision warning lights in front of the driver activate sometimes when no other cars are around.
I purchased this vehicle new on 07/29/2015 from Patriot Ford in Purcell, OK and have taken it back for this problem twice. They re-programmed the key fobs and replaced the batteries in both fobs, which has done absolutely no good. The vehicle was recalled for re-programming of the Adaptive Cruise Control which also did not help this problem. Since the vehicle only has 4000 miles of it and the problem has existed since new, I thought about contacting another dealer's service department and see if they have any knowledge or experience with this problem. I read through all of the Technical Service Bulletins on the Ford website and had no luck.
This problem does not prevent use of the vehicle but I paid almost $58,000 for this pain in the butt and I expect it to be fixed by Ford.
Any help from anyone will be appreciated.
