The headlights are not bright and point towards the ground. It's VERY difficult to see things as day transitions to night and vice versa and just point blank at night. I have taken it back to the dealership to complain and make sure the headlights are aimed correctly. I have been told that they are aimed correctly and there is nothing that can be done and to make sure I drive with the fog lights because that will help. No it does not. I drive on roads that are not lit up and in area's where there are lots wild animals that stand or run across roads. If it weren't for a car in front of me one night I would not have seen a person walking on the road, who knows what could have happened. I need to be able to see when I drive. I do not drive at night unless I absolutely have to. After the 3rd time complaining at the dealership they told me I could try aftermarket bulb, but to be careful to not get to high of a wattage because it could do a lot of damage and the ones they found would cost $125.00 each. I don't have that kind of money and why should I pay for FORD's mistake. Never had this kind of issue with my 2010 F150.

there are very dangerous blind spots, due to the hid lights

The lights are very focused towards the front of the vehicle. The problem with the focused lights is the blind spots on both sides of the vehicle are very dangerous. If you live in a rural area, with no street lighting, you will be turning into blind spots, every time you turn onto a street or driveway. This can be very dangerous if there are pedestrians or obstacles in the blind spot. Has this problem not been reported in the past? Ford changed this design in 2015. Is this a recall issue? In my opinion, the design is poor. The lights were designed by people living in a city with well lit streets, not requiring head lights to illuminate into the blind spots. There likely is a fix for this problem, but i am of the opinion that Ford needs to fix this problem.
