Motor blew a valve through the block in Des Moines IA. Only had 1,911 miles on the new truck. Had not even made first payment yet. It saturated my right catalytic converter with oil. Ford replaced the motor and now I have to deal with the check engine light constantly coming on every single trip. I have been complaining about this for roughly 75,000 miles. Paying through the nose and nothing is being fixed. Been a Ford guy all my life, but i think that is coming to an end. Ford seems to really dislike it's customers and it shows in their lack of quality. All I get is the run around from dealers and another bill with nothing being fixed. I hope someone is working on a class action suit against Ford over these issues..
Truck has 12,000 miles on it. Going down 4 lane highway doing 65 miles an hour when the engine blows up. Was able to coast off the highway to safety. Have to leave the truck on the side of the road. Call Ford road side assistance. They make arrangements to come get the truck the next day. A towing company shows up and takes the vechicle to Ford Dealer in the area. Dealer diagnosis's the issue as a broken timing chain and the motor will have to be replaced. Six weeks later, I finally get my truck back. I have damage to the front end of my truck when I get it back. Ford says not their problem, they didn't do it. Dealer says they didn't do it, must have been the towing company. Towing company says they didn't do it, had to be the dealer. My attorney says it will be cheaper to fix it myself than to take all 3 of them to court.
Bought the truck new, it had a stumble to the engine and terrible gas mileage. The dealer said it had to break I and would not look at it until it had 6000 miles on it. We brought it in twice any way and made them look at it. They said their was no problem, we brought it to a different dealer and they found that a cylinder head needed to be replaced.
2014 Ford F150, bought the truck on Jan. 21, on Feb 13, three weeks after purchase, the #6 connecting rod broke and destroyed the motor with only 545 miles. I haven't even made the first payment. I have been driving Fords my hole life and this will probably be the last. The dealer has been jerking me around for 5 days. They want to put a new motor in and I want a new truck. Seems to me if something breaks because of a manufacturing defect 3 weeks into ownership it should be replaced.....
