Felt the truck lurch, then airbag dash light came on, as well as the orange wrench light. Then, odometer and instant mpg read both read as zero even though I had a full tank and was going 55 mph. I couldn-??t tell how fast I was going on the highway. Have not been to dealer yet, but found a recall online for the exact same problem to do with a 2013 recall on F150 for molded lead frame.

Multifunction switch that operates turn signals, hi lo beams, wiper blades fails due to poor quality plastics. There are so many failures the part is not available nationwide. The part that fails is not the multifunction switch but the -??steering console upper assembly-?? that receives and mounts the multifunction switch. This is a $400 pile of garbage that renders the vehicle dangerous to drive.

The dash lights come on randomly when the truck is sitting with no key in it. The radio stopped working. The heat only works on low and high will not do anything on any other setting. The steering becomes twitchy while driving down the road.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while at a stop, a fellow motorist informed him that the passenger's side rear brake light was inoperable. Neither a dealer nor an independent mechanic were notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

Downshifts into 1st... still...after the recall appointment. Reset, but continues and we have only had the truck a short time. It has almost caused a few wrecks and one with a trailer pulling machinery. We bought this truck to have a newer truck to haul our horses as well, and cannot do that. This needs to be taken care of! we have all Ford F 150's in our family and hate to have to change to something else if this cannot be resolved. A new transmission/"?? is it going to take a death to fix what is wrong??" truck is always in motion and at various times when this happens. No warning, can be fine for days then happens all of a sudden. Street, highway, doesn't matter. And now it's not wanting to come back down after shifting back up from 1st. Not sure what to do now. Can't sell in good conscious to someone, so it sits. Beautiful truck, just bad tranny. Oh, and also, the truck thinks the rear door is open and it's not, which keeps us from being able to lock it as well as the lights remain on for a bit after shutting off (using the battery). Not sure if this has a recall or not.

I have noticed a feature on newer vehicles which I believe is a cause for concern. The feature involves automatic illumination of the dash lights which leads drivers to believe their headlights are on when, in fact, they may not be. I see an inordinately high percentage of vehicles driving without headlights illuminated at dusk and believe this feature could be the cause for at least some of these. Backing out of my garage I turned the steering wheel all the way to the left and the power steering made a noise and the advance trac warning and hill descent warning came on. As I continued to drive it each time the wheel needed to be turned to the left the same noise would occur and the steering wheel would resist turning. Soon the problem increased to be both directions and I took it to the shop and they disconnected something so there isn't any power steering. This could affect someone driving and cause them not to turn.

Yesterday, my truck started fine with no issues, all systems were fine. This morning, 12/13/14, I went to start my truck and my battery was completely dead. I left nothing on and nothing plugged in. I purchased a new battery and it started fine although the remote start (factory installed) no longer works when pressed, the horn blows once and the lights flash twice. I looked out of my window a few minutes ago and noticed that the white instrument cluster lights are on. I went out to make sure my truck was locked, got in, started the engine and shut everything off again but the instrument cluster lights won't go out.

My 2013 Ford F150 XLT began flashing a warning saying service advancetrac. Then it immediately begins flashing shift to park. The truck then begins to downshift causing a rapid slowing of the truck.. when I get to the side of the road to stop I hear metal on metal grinding noises from the engine compartment that I believe is the transmission trying to shift to park... the truck then loses all blinkers and flashers as well as all lighting on the instrument panel. I was able to drive it to a safe location off the road this time.. the truck randomly continues this and its been in the shop several times and they say nothing is wrong with it. I finally got fed up and began video of the dash display in order to document my safety and problems. This truck is 9 months old and has 14000 miles on it. It has done it again and all electrical systems would not reboot and left me stranded for a long time. We have been driving on I95 at 75mph during holiday traffic and it happened again and we literally thought we would be killed because cars had to slam on brakes to avoid our disabled car. It was even scarier since my 6month old daughter was in the vehicle then.we are at a loss because Ford has completely ignored the problem and just assumes I will stop making them fix this at some point. I'm in a 1 car family and bought this to accommodate my new baby and have her a safe ride...this problem is dangerous and it is going to hurt or kill someone if its left unaddressed. [xxx] at jim hudson Ford service has told me he knows its something wrong with it but Ford will not allow him to fix it under the warranty terms for new trucks. The directional control lever on this vehicle requires the driver to engage the lever multiple times to indicate a change from a right turn to a left turn and vice versa. For example, making a left turn from one roadway onto another roadway, and then needing to make a quick right turn off of the 2nd roadway requires the driver to first disengage the left directional, and then in a 2nd motion, engage the right directional. It is not possible to merely move the directional lever up (to indicate a right turn) after turning left in one fluid motion. It requires a) holding the lever down to indicate a left turn B) in the middle of that turn, hitting the lever right two times to indicate a right turn. This is contrary to how typical directional levers work. Often it is not possible to signal your intentions to other drivers in a timely fashion - or, the driver may hold the lever up, thinking he has engaged the right directional, but has merely disengaged the left.
